The Ascension Pandemic Task Force was established by Fr. Hao Dinh, pastor of Ascension, early in the Shelter in Place, a lockdown mandated by Santa Clara County.

 

The Task Force initially planned for the reopening of Ascension services, then has focused on how to celebrate liturgies safely, whether outdoors or indoors (for a few weeks in November).

The Task Force discussed proper distancing, effective sanitization, (optimal ventilation and sanitization for November indoor Masses), and other safety protocols for liturgical gatherings.  Protective masks, gloves, sanitizer stations, fogging devices, and supplies were purchased for use at the liturgies.  These unforeseen expenses were funded by generous grants from The Catholic Foundations of Santa Clara County and our community donors.

The Ascension Pandemic Task Force meets every Friday at 9:00 am via Zoom video conference.
